A Script for Ideological Action
The Playbook is the recurring strategic script that translates Oppressionism’s internal moral logic into public action across different arenas. It functions like reusable code that can be applied to almost any institution or controversy. This decentralised mechanism enables activists, media and commentators to follow the same sequence of moves without central coordination, creating the appearance of a unified campaign. The Playbook’s core purpose is to compel organisations, including universities, corporations, courts and government bodies, to internalise and adopt the Oppressionist framework within their own policies and language.
Defining the Frame
The first step in the Playbook is to define the frame, which means classifying the issue in terms of the fundamental binary of oppressed and oppressor. Once this moral geometry is established, every interpretation flows from it. Control of language follows immediately. The Playbook repurposes emotionally charged terms such as equity, harm, and inclusion to shift public understanding and position the ideology’s moral assumptions as the default. By controlling vocabulary, it controls the boundaries of acceptable thought.
Centering Authorized Voices
After framing and linguistic control, the Playbook prioritizes the centering of authorized voices. Moral authority is assigned to individuals or groups identified as oppressed, whose testimony becomes the definitive source of interpretation. Slogans such as stay in your lane reinforce this hierarchy by restricting who may speak about specific subjects. Knowledge and skill give way to identity and lived experience as the primary sources of legitimacy.
Enforcing Compliance and Solidarity
To secure compliance, the Playbook demands visible performances of solidarity. Public statements, symbolic gestures such as kneeling or hashtag use, and displays of moral virtue become necessary demonstrations of allegiance. Within this framework, silence is recast as complicity. Institutions and individuals are expected not only to refrain from opposition but to participate actively in affirming the moral order.
The Cycle of Pressure and Control
The final phase of the Playbook is the enforcement cycle: accusation, outrage, punishment, and apology. This sequence applies pressure to institutions until they yield, reinforcing the authority of the ideology while signaling to others the cost of resistance. The same pattern is replicated whether the issue involves policing, corporate governance, education, or culture. Through repetition, the Playbook ensures uniformity of action, expands the reach of the ideology, and embeds its moral framework within the procedures of modern institutions.
